Mountains

A mountain biome, sometimes referred to as the alpine biome, is a region of mountain that has a specific climate and species of living things. Mountains have many different biomes because of their extreme climates which vary from the base to the summit. A number of factors can affect the structure of a mountain biome, including temperature, altitude, precipitation, wind and soil.
