Oceans

The ocean biome, sometimes referred to as the marine biome, is the largest biome on Earth and is made up of the world's oceans, coral reefs and estuaries. It is a natural community of plants and animals that can survive in the ocean's salty water. The oceans consist of three zones based on how much sunlight reaches the depths: the Euphotic Zone which the sunlight penetrates, the Disphotic Zone is the middle zone where light looks like twilight on land, and the Aphotic Zone where the sunlight does not reach. This is the deepest part of the ocean where the cold and dark waters contain very few nutrients.
