Savanna

A savanna is a grassland with scattered trees and shrubs that is usually located close to the equator. Savannas are hot and dry, with two distinct seasons: a dry season and a rainy season. Savannas are warm all year round since they receive more direct sunlight than any other part of the Earth. Much of the vegetation dies off during the dry season, followed by a flourish of rapid regrowth when the rains come. Savannas are known typically for their safari animals. including zebras, giraffes, lions, elephants and gazelles.
